My Mission

We arrived at the worksite today, and wow, it was HOT. The sun was really showing us no mercy! But we were ready to tackle the day.

Our main task today was building a concrete block wall. We used the blocks we moved yesterday and got busy stacking and pouring concrete. It was hard work, but seeing the wall start to take shape made it all worth it. We even got to do some “treasure hunting” in this little cave on the side of the house, where we dug up dirt to mix with concrete. We were finding treasure left and right like dog vertebrae, crab skeletons, protein shacks and car axels.

And, of course, we can’t forget about Bo—he’s been an absolute angel! Today, he decided to take on the task of cooking for us himself. His food was not only delicious but such a sweet reminder of how much care he puts into making us feel welcome and at home. We’re so grateful!

As the day wrapped up, something amazing happened. It started raining! And not just a little sprinkle—it poured! The temperature dropped, and the cool rain was a total blessing. It felt like God knew we needed a break from the heat. What a refreshing end to a long, hard-working day.
