My Mission
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m starting this blog to let you know about the opportunity I have been given to participate in. Summer of 2024, I will be traveling to Puerto Rico for a mission trip. I will be there to serve and help their community. Our church’s task is to help build sturdy homes for the people who live there but don’t don’t have a stable home.
I am also writing this letter to ask for your support in this big step into my faith journey. I would like to ask you to consider supporting me in a few different ways. First, I am going on this mission trip because I feel called to help and serve my community and the world around me. This is God’s mission and I am only a piece of his puzzle. In all this, my heart and mind need to be rightly focused on God and rely on him to lead me through his mission. So my ask is if you would be willing to start praying for me. I want to be prepared to do whatever God asks of me, and I believe I need to be spiritually prepared before I go. Please also pray for the people I will be going with and their ability to serve God. And of course, for the families we will be serving. Pray that we will be able to meet their physical and spiritual needs. Thank you for your willingness to do this!
Another way you can help me on my journey to serve is to help with the cost. The total cost for this trip is $2200. The amount covers travel, food, lodging, supplies for projects, and supplies to meet the needs of the local community.
I will keeping this blog to keep you updated along this journey. While there I will add pictures of my day-to-day activities, do devotionals, and add my favorite verse of the day. I am making this blog to show what you have helped me achieve through your time in prayer and help with finances.
This trip is 7 months away, and I will need to begin preparing now. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated through prayer or finances. If you can give financially, you can send money or a check that is made out to Chase Oaks Church with “Puerto Rico Mission Trip” in the memo line. Or you can use the online payment link that I will soon be making and posting here.
